Spaniel's expertise at the piano was somewhat hampered by his inability to learn any more than 40 bars of any given song. This however is no barrier to folk music, as our songs are pretty much the same 18 bars played over and over again! He quickly realised that the trombone wasn't the kind of instrument that was welcome at parties and tried to encourage anyone that came within three feet of him to sing in close harmony. However his persistent choice of Beegees repertoire was getting him nowhere.
The guitar was clearly a much better choice.
Dougie spends most of his time looking after his boys, Calum, Duncan and Murray. As such he is THE man to speak to if you want to know soft-play areas in Edinburgh. Has finally mastered B min, but dreams are still haunted by capos. Never ask to see "The Human Fan" again.
